Cathy and Jan

- Both graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas .
- Married in 1963 in Sherman, Texas.
- Have 2 children (one in Texas and the other in Colorado) and 4 grandchildren.
- Jan retired in 2001 after working 35 years as a computer programmer at the Johnson Space Center in Houston
- Cathy retired in 2001 as a Volunteer Paramedic (after 20+ years) & as an RN
- Sold our house in La Porte, Texas in 2003 and have been fulltime RVing since then.
- Home base is Livingston, Texas (Escapees RV Club)
- Live and travel in a custom built 32' New Horizon 5th wheel RV (#533) pulled by a white Ford F450 diesel truck.
- Travel in the US and into Canada every summer.
- See extended family and friends.
- Go as far north as we can go (have been to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay, Alaska on the Dalton highway, Inuvik, Northwest Territories on the Dempster highway, Churchill on Hudson Bay in Manitoba, James Bay at Moosonee in Ontario, and driven across Labrador)
- Visit U.S. National Park Service (NPS) sites (have been to and have NPS Passport stamps for 372 out of the 401 total National Parks, Monuments, etc.) - Our goal (which we have reached) is (was) to see at least a total of 360.
- Photograph lighthouses (have seen 1,250 with our original goal of seeing at least 500).
- Canadian National Parks (have been to 30 out of the 43) and Canadian National Historic sites - Parks Canada (have been to 89).
- Visit and collect National Wildlife Refuge Passport Stamps. We just started in 2011 and have now visited at least one refuge in 42 states (with a goal of all 50 states).
